Is Global Warming a Hoax?

Image
In our information age, we’re bombarded with statistics on every danger the number crunchers can conjure — people struck by lightning, airplane vs. automotive deaths, and even drownings in bathtubs. But one statistic is curiously missing from the list. Even though President Obama and other global-warming alarmists warn of a looming climate apocalypse, they avoid giving a metric to prove their claims. They blame man-made climate change for a vast array of ills, including floods, droughts, wildfires, and tornados. But they never quantify what they say is the driving force behind it all: temperature. They have a very good reason. Actual temperature data doesn’t cooperate with their party line that mankind is ruining the planet with its addiction to so-called fossil fuels and its appetite for ample, affordable energy. Too few taxpayers are demanding proof, and too many are willing to accept global-warming fictions on blind faith, opening the door for federal regulators to foist irrati...

Boston and Chicago close schools as freezing temperatures grip US

Image
The threat of deadly cold convinced officials in Boston and  Chicago  to close schools on Thursday, as temperatures dipped below zero overnight and forecasts predict wind chills as low as -30F (-34C).  Boston’s mayor, Marty Walsh, cited “extreme weather conditions” as he ordered the city’s public schools closed on Wednesday night, saying in a statement that the dangers of the cold made travel to school “not worth the risk to our children and families”. The  National Weather Service  forecasts a high of 15F (-9C) for the city, with wind chill below zero. In Chicago, another city where schools rarely shut down due to freezing weather, the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts a high of 13F (-11C), a wind chill in the negative double digits and a high probability of snow showers. Thursday night lows could break the record of -11F (-24C), set on 8 December 1942. More than 100 schools in the Chicago area have closed, and the public schools chief exec...

Global Warming Fear Mongering Alarmists Turn Back The Clock, Three Centuries Ago, The World Ran On Green Power

Image
T Three centuries ago, the world ran on green power. Wood was used for heating and cooking, charcoal for smelting and smithing, wind or water-power for pumps mills and ships, and whale oil for lamps. People and soldiers walked or rode horses, and millions of horses and oxen pulled ploughs, wagons, coaches and artillery. But smoke from open fires choked cities, forests were stripped of trees, most of the crops went to feed draft animals, and streets were littered with horse manure. For many people, life was “nasty, brutish and short”. Then the steam engine was developed, and later the internal combustion engine, electricity and refrigeration came along. Green power was replaced by coal and oil. Carbon energy powered factories, mills, pumps, ships, trains, and smelters; and cars, trucks and tractors replaced the work-horses. The result was a green revolution – forests began to regrow and vast areas of crop-land used for horse feed were released to produce food for humans. Povert...

Hottest year ever? Giant clam reveals Middle Ages were warmer than today

Image
While government science and media begin the ramp-up to claim 2014 as the “hottest year ever” China’s Sea’s biggest bivalve shows that the Middle Ages were warmer than today, when Carbon Dioxide was lower. From the Chinese Academy of Sciences : Two recent papers, one is in Earth-Science Reviews and the other is in Chinese Science Bulletin , have studied key chemical contents in micro-drilled giant clams shells and coral samples to demonstrate that in the South China Sea the warm period of the Middle Ages was warmer than the present. The scientists examined surveys of the ratio of strontium to calcium content and heavy oxygen isotopes, both are sensitive recorders of sea surface temperatures past and present. The aragonite bicarbonate of the T ridacna gigas clam-shell is so fine-grained that daily growth-lines are exposed by micro-drilling with an exceptionally fine drill-bit, allowing an exceptionally detailed time-series of sea-temperature changes to be compiled – a feat of det...
