Information manipulation will have an instrumental value…which will enhance global welfare.” Hong and Zhao writing in the February 24, 2014 edition of the American Journal of Agricultural Economics included the statement above in their abstract. They added that the impact if manipulating information was ambiguous. Exaggeration and hyperbole on global warming has been pretty much accepted PR practice, but getting these statements through a peer reviewed journal seems to be a new step. Their revisedarticle seems to have a milder version of ok to manipulate in the abstract.
