Left Still Trying to Hide Data That Disprove Global Warming.

You would have thought Climategate would have put a stop to this Global Warming nonsense.

The scandal in which several high-profile climate scientists were caught emailing each other with tips on how to manipulate data to make it seem to fit the global warming model should have called the whole business into question.

But, as is the norm for our state-aligned media, asking questions and publishing answers that go against the party line are verboten, so global warming has been revitalized and its supporters appear to be set for another run at bilking hundreds of billions, even trillions, of dollars out of public funds from the U.S. and other gullible nations.
Because of that, the warming-means-doom story line has returned with a vengeance, as have efforts by warmistas to suppress any studies or findings that may nullify or lessen the desired level of hysteria.
You may have seen a recent report in the media that two Antarctic glaciers are "beyond" the point of no return and that they will melt and flood the Earth. The same week, another report was issued saying that the Antarctic ice pack is the biggest it's ever been since scientists began tracking it, but that story didn't seem to get as much traction as the melting glaciers tale.

That facts are being suppressed for political reasons is also the allegation of Lennart Bengtsson of the University of Reading, whose paper on global warming was rejected for publication in a highly respected journal on the grounds that it "was not helpful" to the climate alarmist cause.

"The problem we now have in the climate community is that some scientists are mixing up their scientific role with that of a climate activist," Bengtsson said.
His paper, co-authored with four other researchers, found that the Earth's climate is far less sensitive to changes in greenhouse gas levels than warming activists would have us believe.

It's a direct challenge to the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report that predicts a rise of 4.5 degrees Celsius if greenhouse gas levels double.

One of the reviewers who rejected the paper wrote, "It is harmful as it opens the door for oversimplified claims of 'errors' and worse from the climate skeptics media side."
Bengtsson said it is unacceptable to reject a scientific paper for political reasons and that the global warming activism needs to be reined in.

"It is an indication of how science is gradually being influenced by political views. The reality hasn’t been keeping up with the [computer] models," Bengtsson said. "If people are proposing to do major changes to the world’s economic system we must have much more solid information."

Many people long ago came to the conclusion that global warming has always been about changing the world's economy, not actual science.

Part of the reason for the resurgence of global warming hype is that the U.N. and many of the world's power brokers who stand to make fortunes are building up to the planned Paris Conference in 2015, which they hope will result in a legally binding agreement that will siphon money from the world's richest governments in the name of climate change.

If scientists are to be believed, the Earth was much warmer in the past than it is now, and those warm periods were times of ecological bounty during which plants and animals flourished and deserts shrank. The only difference this time is that there's money involved. The Earth itself is much hardier than the warmistas want you to believe.

We need to keep encouraging our representatives to see through the global warming nonsense and keep the U.N.'s paws off our economy.
